The British Training Board is proud to introduce its brand new services, specifically designed to further support serving and ex-forces personnel as they transition to their civilian lives and start new careers.
Since our launch in 2014, we have helped over 2000 serving and ex-military personnel and with the launch of our new services, we will be able to widen our business focus to successfully help more and more members.
With our enhanced skills translator service, we are able to help ex-military personnel to transition into civilian life and fulfilling new careers by translating their previous military skill set into civilian qualifications. The skills translator service also helps members with their CV writing by converting military terminology into terms used by civilian employers. Our jobs board and virtual CV will further help members to transition smoothly into their civilian working careers, using the latest technology to efficiently get you on track to success.
Our new skills translator service is not purely limited to those that have left their careers within the armed Forces. It also aims to help partners of ex-military personnel and other workers within the public service. It can help those in the police, fire services, coast guard and other public sector jobs convert their skills to find new roles, further their education and begin voluntary opportunities.
Other features of our new services include one-to-one coaching, guaranteed interviews with our partner organisations, sign posting to services and free online training to accommodate members in all that they need to start or continue their desired career path.
Adrian Rabey, CEO at The British Training Board, commented:
“Over the past few years we have been able to help and guide so many people with their careers. Our work has been incredibly rewarding and we are pleased to extend our services to help more people on a far greater scale.
“Findings from our own research has enabled us to tailor make our new services to suit our members and subsequently help them find work that is ideal for their skill sets. This is about changing the lives of people and their families for the better and we’re excited to be a part of this through the launch of our new offering.”
